What area does Giving Gardens serve?

We serve Stark County and hope to expand to more counties in the future.

Who can volunteer to be a “Giving Grower”?

Anyone! Since we do not have a local community garden space, Giving Gardens acts as the medium for those who want to grow food for others to be able to do so.

I can’t volunteer. Could I make a monetary donation instead?

Absolutely! Any funds received from donation will be used to stock our Harvest boxes and will in turn, support our local Farmer’s Market.

Who is eligible to receive harvest boxes?

In order to directly serve our most at-need families, we have eligibility guidelines found in our Giving Garden Registration page. If you are eligible, please submit a form.

Why are there limited spots available for famillies?

We need to carefully manage our Grower to Family ratio. If we have too many families, we won’t be able to supply them with a meaningful amount of produce in our short growing season.

Can I be added to a waitlist?

Yes! We recommend signing up even if our list is full. Our waitlist families will move up in order submitted and be the first candidates for any harvest boxes that are failed to be picked-up.

Can I select what items are in the Harvest Boxes?

No. Each harvest box will be filled with available, in-season produce with the goal to fill each box similarly. The one exception is if your family has a food allergy.
